2. Data we collect
2.1 Waitlist data
- Email address submitted via the waitlist form.
- Language preference and approximate timestamp of submission.
- LocalStorage entry used to prevent duplicate submissions (stored in your browser only, not transmitted to us).
2.2 Analytics data (Google Analytics 4)
- Anonymised IP address (IP anonymisation is enabled).
- Device type, operating system, browser, and language.
- Pages viewed, referral source, session duration.
- Country-level location derived from the anonymised IP.
2.3 Technical / server logs
- IP address, HTTP method, URL, response code, and timestamp recorded by our hosting infrastructure.
- Logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes.
3. Legal bases for processing
- Waitlist data — Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): you explicitly submit your email to be contacted.
- Analytics — Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): improving the website; you may opt out at any time.
- Server logs — Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): security and infrastructure reliability.
4. How we use your data
- To add you to the waitlist and send you an invitation when your region opens.
- To send occasional product updates related to the TERA launch (you may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email).
- To understand how visitors use the website so we can improve it.
- To maintain the security and performance of the site.
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following processors, each bound by data-processing agreements:
- Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 (analytics); Google Workspace / Apps Script (waitlist storage). Google processes data under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
- Vercel Inc. — website hosting and edge infrastructure.
- No other third parties receive your personal data.
6. International transfers
Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA) — for example to Google LLC in the US — we rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision, July 2023) or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.
7. Retention
- Waitlist email addresses: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, or until 24 months after TERA's commercial launch, whichever comes first.
- Analytics data: retained for 14 months in Google Analytics, per our GA4 configuration.
- Server logs: 30 days.
8. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the following rights. To exercise any of them, email support@tera-bank.io.
- Access — obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of your data.
- Restriction — ask us to pause processing in certain circumstances.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.
9. Complaints
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus: www.dataprotection.gov.cy
You may also complain to the supervisory authority of your EU country of residence.
11. Children
Our website is not directed at persons under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to waitlist subscribers by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The 'Last updated' date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
