1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to site owners.

We also use localStorage — a browser storage mechanism that is not a cookie but serves a similar purpose. We use it to remember that you have already joined the waitlist so we do not prompt you again.

2. Legal basis

Our use of cookies is governed by the ePrivacy Directive as implemented under Cyprus law, and by the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) where cookies process personal data.

Analytics cookies are non-essential and are set only with your consent. Functional localStorage entries are necessary to provide the service you request (waitlist deduplication) and do not require separate consent.

3. Cookies and storage we use

The table below lists every cookie and browser-storage item set by tera.bank.

3.1 Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4)

_ga — Distinguishes users. Expires: 2 years. Provider: Google LLC.
_ga_KRFQ430JHX — Maintains session state for our GA4 property. Expires: 2 years. Provider: Google LLC.
_gid — Distinguishes users within a 24-hour window. Expires: 24 hours. Provider: Google LLC.
These cookies collect anonymised information about how visitors use the site (pages visited, session duration, referral source). No personally identifiable information is stored in these cookies.

3.2 Functional localStorage (not a cookie)

tera.waitlist.submitted — Boolean flag set to 'true' after a successful waitlist submission. Stores no email address. Purpose: prevents duplicate submission prompts. Persists until cleared by the user.
tera.locale — Stores your chosen interface language (en / es / fr / ru). Purpose: remembers your language preference across visits. Persists until cleared by the user.

4. Third-party cookies

Google Analytics 4 is operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google processes analytics data as a data processor on our behalf under a Data Processing Agreement. Data may be transferred to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

We do not embed social media plugins, advertising pixels, or any other third-party trackers on this site.

5. How to manage or withdraw consent

You have several options to control cookies:

Browser settings — All modern browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Refer to your browser's help documentation: Chrome → Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies. Firefox → Settings → Privacy & Security. Safari → Settings → Privacy. Edge → Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
Google Analytics opt-out — Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Consent withdrawal — If you previously consented to analytics cookies, you can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies for tera.bank. Your withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
localStorage — You can clear localStorage entries via your browser's developer tools (Application → Local Storage → tera.bank → delete entries).

6. Impact of disabling cookies

Disabling analytics cookies has no impact on your ability to browse the site or join the waitlist.

Clearing the tera.locale localStorage entry will cause the site to revert to your browser's default language on the next visit.

7. Cookie policy updates

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or applicable law. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new 'Last updated' date. Material changes will be communicated to waitlist subscribers by email.
